Willow Grove Presbyterian Church Offers Adult Forums - A Christian Response to New Atheism

As we seek to better understand current topics that are discussed in our society, Willow Grove Presbyterian Church is sponsoring a series of Adult Forum Classes on the topic  The New Atheism:  A Christian Response.  The classes will be held on Sundays, 11:30 am - 12:30 pm in the Kiep Lounge of the church on Jan, 13, 20 and Feb. 3 with additional classes scheduled later in the year.  We will be examining the new wave of atheism that has come along in the last ten years.  We will be looking at excerpts of  the book by the late Christopher Hitchens entitled god is not great, How Religion Poisons Everything as well as videos by Mr. Hitchens and others on the subject.  We will discuss what a Christian response might be should anyone ever have to "give a reason for the hope that is within them".(1 Peter 3:15)  The community is invited to join the discussion of this important topic facing churches today.

Facilitator Paul DiDario is a graduate of Julliard School of Music with a degree in piano performance,  the Director of Music of Willow Grove Church, a piano teacher in a number of private schools, an elder on the church board, and a keen observer of popular culture.

Willow Grove Presbyterian Church is more than a place to worship on a Sunday morning. We are committed to helping people experience God’s love and joy as a Christian community of faith, develop meaningful friendships with people of all ages, discuss current issues,  provide fun and relevant programs for families, and do community service projects that make a difference.
