Ring in the New Year Bell Choir Concert at Willow Grove Church

The Walsh Grazio Bell Choir will be performing a winter concert at Willow Grove Presbyterian Church on Sunday January 12, at 3:00 p.m.  This free concert, funded by a grant from the Elizabeth Presbytery, is the second in Willow Grove Church’s “Music for the Soul” concert series. The  concert will be preceded at 2:30 pm by Meet the Instruments, a special musical event for children and their families.

Directed by Carl Loutzenheiser, the Bell Choir uses a six-octave set of Schulmerich handbells, a five-octave set of Malmark Choirchimes, a seventh-octave bass handbell and three seventh-octave Choirchimes. The concert will feature a lively combination of Christmas music and songs about winter.  The program will include I Wonder As I Wander, Ukrainian Bell Carol, Parade of the Tin Soldiers, Frosty the Snowman, and Joy to the World.

Immediately following the concert, there will be an opportunity to talk with the musicians at a reception offering light refreshments.
