Two Scotch Plains - Fanwood Moms set to appear at Carnegie Hall

How do you get to Carnegie Hall?  Practice, Practice, Practice!  That's just what two SPFHS moms (and long time friends) will do! You may find these ladies on any given Saturday evening in the fall, cheering on their kids in the  SPFHS Marching Band.  But on on October 19th, the cheering will be for Georgette Chrystal of Scotch Plains, and Susan Schuman of Fanwood, who will be singing with the award winning Harmony Celebration Chorus of Ridgewood, NJ, as the chorus performs in this special musical concert.

Harmony Celebration, one of over 500 Sweet Adelines choruses around the world,  has earned numerous accolades and honors since the birth of the chorus,  in 2007, including two Greater NY/NJ Regional Championship Gold Medals as well as top honors in the Mid-Size Chorus category since 2009. Having competed on the  International Competition stage in both Houston (12th Place)  and Denver(13th Place.)  The Chorus is currently preparing for a once in a lifetime opportunity to appear on the stage at Carnegie Hall for the Second Japan-US Choral Charity Festival on Saturday, October 19th at 7:00pm.   Tickets are $10 (general
admission seating only) with the proceeds going to aid in the recovery of
Fukushima, an area still suffering from the aftermath of the 2001 Tohoku
Earthquake and the difficulties resulting from nuclear power plant
issues that followed the devastation.

Come join us at this prestigious event, where
East meets West in beautiful 4-part a cappella choral harmony.   Tickets are available at:
