Wearable Art Workshops
This
fall, the Scotch Plains Public Library will present two workshops where
attendees can create unique wearable art. The first will take place on
Thursday, September 19 at 7:00pm, as local artist Connie Pinkowski demonstrates
how to turn this summer’s beach treasures into one-of-a-kind jewelry. Attendees
can bring their own “found” objects or use those provided by Connie.
On
Wednesday, October 23 at 6:00pm, local artist Vicki Parker will lead a workshop
about creating dog-themed wearable art. Materials will be provided for all
registered attendees. This workshop coincides with the Library’s Adopt-a-Dog
Month Gallery exhibit, which will be on display October 5-29.
This
program is free and open to adults and teens (grades 6-12) accompanied by an
adult. Attendees are encouraged to register through the library’s website, by
phone at 908-322-5007 x204 or by e-mail at library@scotlib.org.
