The JCC of Central NJ is hosting their 2011 Jewish Film Festival. The third film in this three film series is Anita. This film will be shown on Wednesday, April 13, 2o11 beginning at 7:30 p.m. The AMC Theater 10, 1021 Route 22 East Mountainside, NJ is the venue for this movie. The film is 104 minutes and directed by Marcos Carnevale. Language is Spanish w/ English subtitles Country, Argentina. Anita, a young Jewish woman with Down Syndrome, lives with her devoted mother above the shop her late father started in a commercial district of Buenos Aires. Into their sweetly sedate domestic life, the outside world intrudes with
unexpected fury. As Anita wanders the city lost, she finds compassion in unlikely quarters through the simple force of
her ingenuous personality and open heart. Wrenching, lovely, suffused with life, Anita is a profoundly hopeful study of
human innocence, compassion and resilience in a fragile, troubled world. Ticket pricing for this event is $12 JCC Members/Seniors 65+/Students, $14 General Public, $ 6 12 years and under. Day of movie $15, if still available. To purchase tickets, please visit www.jccnj.org or call Film Festival Hotline (908) 889-8800 x208. For more information, please contact Amy Warsh at 908-889-8800 x205 or awarsh@jccnj.org. All are welcome.
