Breast Cancer 5K Run/Walk for Mom

CRANFORD, NJ -- CancerCare is pleased to announce its 13th annual Breast Cancer 5K Run/Walk for Mom.  This event will take place on Saturday, October 1st at Nomahegan Park in Cranford, NJ.   Registration begins at 8:00 am and the Run/Walk will begin at 9:00am.  Walk Participants are required to make a minimum pledge of $25 (adults 18+) & $15 (teens 13-17); Runners are required to pay $25 now through Sept. 16th and $30 Sept. 17th through race day, all will receive a t-shirt.  The 5K Race will be timed and awards will be given to the top three runners of various age groups.  Walk for Hope Sponsors are Novartis Oncology and Eisai.  To register and find out more information about Breast Cancer 5K Run/Walk for Mom, please visit www.cancercare.org/mom.

Tim Dursee began organizing the Walk for Mom in 1999 in memory of his mother, Charlotte Dursee, who lost her battle to breast cancer.  In the past twelve years, Run/Walk for Mom has grown to include over three hundred participants and has raised over $85,000 for CancerCare.
