[PHOTOS] Volunteers Take Out the Trash at 'Clean Community Day' in Fanwood

This past Saturday's Clean Community Day in Fanwood, an annual Earth Day event, enlists volunteers to go around to locations in the town and pick up trash and recyclables. The event is sponsored by the Fanwood Dept. of Public Works, the Clean Community Committee and the Lions Club.

If Fanwood is such a proponent of Earth Day, then why are they planning to install a sprinkler system in Forest Road Park. We try to teach our youngest citizens the importance of conserving our natural resources and having respect for our environment, then turn around and make the decision to waste water on the fields in the park.
