The annual “Scotch Plains Day & Street Fair” will take place on Sunday, October 7th from 11am to 5pm on Park Avenue in downtown Scotch Plains.
Admission and parking are free. The festival is sponsored by the Scotch Plains Recreation Department. There will also be a Classic Car Show, sponsored by the Scotch Plains Lions Club.
More than 100 crafters, artists, vendors and merchants will line both sides of Park Avenue between Westfield Avenue and Grand Street. That portion of Park Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic for the day. There will be plenty of free parking.
An international selection of foods will be presented as well as live music, inflatable rides, games, clowns and jugglers.
“DJ John” will create an “outdoor dance party” next to the municipal building throughout the entire day. At 11:00am, there will be a live performance by the Flying Dogs of Jupiter Band, who has performed throughout New Jersey at numerous outdoor events. Radio station FRESH-FM from NYC will be present at the Fair while awarding prizes until supplies run out.
