[Video] Ribbon Cutting for the Child Advocacy Center of Union County
New Child Advocacy Center opens for Union County children of sex crimes and child abuse.
Union County Prosecutor, Tom Romankow, leads the ribbon cutting in front of the Child Advocacy Center on West Jersey Street in Elizabeth.
The CAC is a multidiscplinary center where all services for child abuse and sex crimes are housed under one roof.
Since its opening last Tuesday, the CAC has already seen five cases.
Formerly it would take the Prosecutor's Office 2-3 days to process cases, with the new center it takes 6-8 hours.
After over a decade, the center has become a reality.
