2014 Miss Teen Northeast American Nation Participates in Plainfield's 91st Annual 4th of July Parade

Glenisha Brown, the reigning 2014 Miss Teen Northeast American Nation, appeared in Plainfield New Jersey’s annual 4th of July Parade on Saturday, July 5th. 

The American Nation Pageants is a national pageant organization that recognizes the importance of community involvement and personal achievement by assisting girls and women to develop personally and professionally.

Brown, who was born in Plainfield and resides in Scotch Plains, is a 19 year old sophomore and honor student of Delaware State University.  Brown earned her title in October of 2013 and will be competing for the national title of Miss Teen American Nation on August 3, 2014 in Connecticut. Brown looked forward to participating in the parade this year since winning her title.

During her current reign she has volunteered and made appearances at the NYC Veteran’s Day Parade, Family & Children’s Services Adopt a family toy drive, Autism Awareness Fundraiser/Fashion Show, AIDS Walk NYC, Scotch Plains Memorial Day Parade, Susan G. Komen Impact Awards of Greater New York and The View.
