SP-Fanwood Patch: Pale Shadow of Your Former Self

Since the latest layoffs and consolidation at Patch.com, readers in Fanwood and Scotch Plains might as well not even bother. Today's top story on the Home page is another blast of winter... in South Jersey. We're not expected to get any snow here. Furthermore, the coverage of spot news is almost non-existent. We had a stabbing in our town Friday evening with a patient helicoptered out and another individual arrested, events that happen rarely in our towns. Yet, not a single mention on the SP-F Patch. Both towns have budget deliberations coming up. Both towns have political campaigns about to launch. There's no longer a Patch presence at our borough Council meetings (The Alternative Press attends), so I wouldn't expect to see any coverage. For a while, Patch.com was doing fine. Now, you are basically useless to us here is Fanwood-Scotch Plains. Sorry to see you go.
