Blotter: Double Arrest for Warrants Tops FW Police Activity

Police arrests and reports in the borough from March 28 through April 3.

The made two arrests in one motor vehicle stop on Sunday, April 3. At 11:58 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle at Old South Avenue West and South Avenue because the the vehicle's registered owner had an outstanding warrant issued by the Middlesex County Sheriff's Department, according to a press release distributed by Fanwood Detective Eugene Chin.

The officers confirmed that the car's owner – Kasheena McKeithan, 21, of North Plainfield – was the driver. They also discovered that her passenger – Byron Calhoun, 37, of Plainfield – had an outstanding warrant issued by the Plainfield court. 

Both McKeithan and Calhoun were placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. McKeithan was turned over to the Middlesex County Sheriff's Department. Calhoun was released upon posting bail.

Wednesday, March 30:

  • Police arrested Tieshone Andrews, 35, of Scotch Plains, for an outstanding warrant issued by the Fanwood court. At 9:14 a.m., officers stopped Andrews at South Avenue and Algonquin Drive for a motor vehicle violation and discovered the warrant. They transported him to police headquarters, where he was processed and released.

Sunday, April 3:

  • Police arrested Gerold Belle, 38, of Plainfield, for an outstanding warrant issued by the Jersey City court. At 10:23 a.m., officers stopped Belle in the 300-block of South Avenue for a motor vehicle violation and discovered the warrant. They transported him to police headquarters, where he was processed and released.
