Blotter: FPD Removes Disorderly Person from Train

The following arrest information was supplied by the Fanwood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The arrested Kevin McLean, 32, of Plainfield, for disorderly conduct on Friday, May 20. At about 7:33 a.m., officers were called by New Jersey Transit personnel regarding a reported disorderly person on a train that had just pulled into the . Officers boarded the train, and were directed to McLean by the conductor. They removed McLean from the train and transported him to police headquarters, where he was processed and turned over to the Plainfield Police Department.

Bicycle Theft Reported
An area resident reported that his bicycle was missing Wednesday, May 18. He stated stated that he locked his bicycle at 7:31 a.m. on the north side of the Fanwood Train Station, and when he returned at 2:33 p.m., the bicycle was missing. The victim described the bicycle as a blue men's 10-speed. It was valued at about $100.

Resident Reports Theft
A resident of Watson Road told police on Friday, May 20, that a package was stolen from the front porch of her house on or about May 13.

Officers Make Warrant Arrests
Police arrested Rosa Contreras, 33, of Elizabeth, on Wednesday, May 18, for an outstanding warrant issued by the Fanwood court. At 5:45 p.m., officers performed a random license-plate check of a Contreras' vehicle, which was traveling in the area of South Avenue and Laurel Place, and discovered the warrant. Upon stopping the vehicle and confirming that Contreras was the driver, they transported her to police headquarters, where she was processed and released.

The following day, police arrested Edwin Zuniga, 30, of Elizabeth, for an outstanding warrant issued by the Sayreville court. At 3:22 p.m. May 19, officers stopped Zuniga for a motor vehicle violation at Terrill Road and Stewart Place and discovered the warrant. They transported him to police headquarters, where he was processed and released.

On Friday, May 20, police arrested Joseph Prince, 48, of Scotch Plains, for an outstanding warrant issued by the Bound Brook court. At 1:18 p.m., officers performed a check of a suspicious person at Terrill Road and Mary Lane and discovered the warrant. They transported him to police headquarters, where hew as processed and released.
