Cop: Scotch Plains Man Arrested for Stealing From Laundry Machine

The following arrest information was provided by the Scotch Plains Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Scotch Plains police activity from April 15 - 22, 2013:

4/15 A resident of Mountain view Ave. reported being a victim of a Theft. She stated sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) entered her vehicle. Once inside, the suspect(s) removed an undetermined amount of cash. Entrance was gained by prying the lock open.

4/15 A resident of Park Ave. reported being a victim of Harassment. He stated that he has been receiving several crank calls a day from an unknown caller.

4/17 A resident of John St. reported being a victim of Fraud. She stated that unknown suspect(s) made approximately $750 in purchases on her credit card without her authorization.

4/17 Louis Williams Age. 35 of Country Club Lane Scotch Plains N.J. was arrested for Burglary. Williams was arrested after the detective bureau investigated a series of thefts involving an individual who broke into the coin operated machines in the laundry room. He was transported to H.Q. where he was processed and transported to The Union County Jail when he was unable to post the $82,000 bail.

4/19 Fred Kennedy Age. 21 of Orange Ave. Union N.J. was arrested for a $400 outstanding warrant issued by the Milburn court. Off. Silva stopped Kennedy for a motor vehicle violation on Route 22 and discovered the warrant. He was transported to H.Q. where he was processed and released.

421 Sergio Suazo Age. 25 of Old Oak Rd. Cranston R.I. was arrested for a $289 outstanding warrant issued by the Scotch Plains court. Off. Von Langen stopped Suazo for a motor vehicle violation on Route 22 and discovered the warrant. He was transported to H.Q. where he was processed and released.

4/21 A resident of maple Hill Rd. reported being a victim of Criminal Mischief. He stated that sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) damaged part of his roof of his vehicle which was parked in front of his house.
