Blotter: SP Police Investigate Lamberts Mill Burglary

The following arrest information was supplied by the Scotch Plains Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A resident of Lamberts Mill Road in Scotch Plains reported being a victim of burglary Tuesday, May 31, according to a press release distributed by the . The resident stated that sometime overnight, an unknown suspect or suspects entered his residence through a rear window and removed a laptop computer and an undetermined amount of change. The incident remains under investigation.

Business Owner Reports Burglary

The owner of a business on Goodman's Crossing reported being a victim of burglary Tuesday, May 31. He stated that sometime in the previous four days, an unknown suspect or suspects entered a fenced-in area behind his business and removed several pieces of landscaping equipment. The equipment was valued at about $2,000.

Resident Reports Vehicle Burglary

A resident of East Second Street reported being a victim of burglary Friday, June 3. He stated that sometime overnight, an unknown suspect or suspects entered his vehicle, which was parked in front of his driveway, and rifled through its contents. No items were reported missing. The suspect or suspects gained entrance to the vehicle by ripping through the convertible roof.

Residents Report Theft

A resident of Westfield Road reported being a victim of theft Wednesday, June 1. He stated that he lent his iPod to a friend, and that the friend then sold it to a third party. The device was valued at about $250.

Three days later, a resident of Hunter Avenue reported that sometime overnight, an unknown suspect or suspects stole his bicycle, which was left on his front porch. The bicycle was valued at about $50.

Resident, Bank Manager Report Fraud

A resident of Highlander Drive reported being a victim of fraud Wednesday, June 1. She stated that she received a call from a store about her credit card account. She stated that she had not authorized anyone to open an account in her name.

Three days later, the branch manager of a North Avenue bank reported being a victim of fraud. She stated that the suspect used fraudulent identification to obtain a cash advance.

Student Reports Criminal Mischief

A student at reported being a victim of criminal mischief Wednesday, June 1. He state that sometime during the day, an unknown suspect or suspects dumped water into his vehicle, causing damage.

Warrant Arrests

Police arrested Suburah Goldston, 23, of Country Club Lane in Scotch Plains, for a $241 outstanding warrant issued by the Scotch Plains court. Officers stopped Goldston on Friday, June 3, for a motor vehicle violation on East Second Street and discovered the warrant. They transported her to police headquarters, where she was processed and released.

That same day, police arrested Tony Sullivan, 22, of Dunellen, for a $750 outstanding warrant issued by the Dunellen court. Officers stopped Sullivan for a motor vehicle violation on Terrill Road and discovered the warrant. They transported him to police headquarters, where he was processed and released.
