Cell Phone, Cash Stolen on Same Day on Park Avenue

One resident reported $500 removed from her purse.

Scotch Plains Police are investigating two incidents of theft that occurred along Park Avenue on Nov. 27.

A patron at a Park Avenue restaurant reported someone removed his phone from his jacket pocket. The phone was valued at $300.

On the same day, a Park Avenue resident reported that sometime in the afternoon someone removed approximately $500 from her purse, which she left in the lobby while she unloaded groceries.
