Arrests for active warrants top the list of recent criminal activity in Fanwood.
Theft
On January 3, a Shady Lane resident reported a theft. The victim stated that a package valued at $20 was stolen from the front porch by an unknown person.

Moses Hammond, 50, of Scotch Plains, was arrested on January 11, at 7:50 a.m. Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident at Hunter and Midway Avenue. Upon the Officers arrival Hammond fled the scene of the accident. Officers were able to locate Hammond in the area. He was arrested and charged with numerous motor vehicle violations and a criminal charge of hindering his own apprehension.
Gregorio Franco, 28, of Perth Amboy, was arrested on January 12, at 3:50 p.m. for an active warrant out of Perth Amboy. The Officer stopped Franco on Terrill Road for a motor vehicle violation and discovered the warrant. Franco was arrested, processed, posted bail and released.

Duquan Randolph, 26, of Plainfield, was arrested on January 13, at 4:15 p.m. for an active warrant out of Fanwood, Plainfield, Westfield and Bridgewater. The Officer stopped Randolph for a motor vehicle violation on Terrill Road and Maxon Place and discovered the warrant. Randolph was arrested, processed and turned over to the Plainfield Police Department.
Derek Cisson, 37, of Scotch Plains, was arrested on January 15, at 8:27 a.m. for an active warrant out of the Essex County Superior Court.
The Officer stopped Cisson for a motor vehicle violation at Terrill Road and East Second Street and discovered the active warrant. Cisson was arrested, processed and turned over to Essex County Sheriffs Department.
Steven Becker, 52, of Cranford, was arrested on January 15, at 12:16 p.m. for an active warrant out of Cranford. The Officer stopped Becker for a motor vehicle violation at Westfield Road and Portland Avenue and discovered the active warrant. Becker was arrested, processed, posted bail and released.
Akima Stocks, 33, of Plainfield, was arrested on January 16, at 11:44 a.m. for an active warrant out of Elizabeth. The Officer stopped Stocks for a motor vehicle violation on South Avenue and discovered the active warrant. Stocks was arrested, processed, and released by Elizabeth Court.
Sergio Sciancalepore, 26, Cranford, was arrested on January 16, at 4:07 p.m. for an active warrant out of Cranford. The Officer stopped Sciancalepore for a motor vehicle violation on South Avenue and discovered the active warrant. Sciancalepore was arrested, processed, posted bail and released.
Hector Rivera, 47, of Scotch Plains was arrested on January 16 at 4:11 p.m. for an active warrant out of Garwood. The Officer stopped Rivera for a motor vehicle violation on South Avenue and discovered the active warrant. Rivera was arrested, processed, posted bail and released.
