Fanwood Blotter: Car Stolen From South Avenue and Several Thefts from Unlocked Cars

Between December 29, 2012 at 9:30 p.m. and December 30 at 1:20 a.m., the victim reported his vehicle was stolen from the 190 block of South Ave. The stolen vehicle is described as a 1991 Honda Accord, black, 4 door valued at $ 6,000.00.



December 23, 2012:
At 2:10 p.m. the victim reported she was parked in the 250 block of South Avenue when an unknown person removed her purse from the open window of her vehicle. The purse contained numerous credit cards and personal information. 

December 28, 2012: Between 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. a unlocked vehicle parked in the 170 block of Farley Avenue was entered by an unknown person who removed money and a GPS unit. Total value taken is $100.00. 

December 28, 2012: Between 6:40 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. an unknown person entered an open garage in the 10 block of Cottage Way and removed a 26" black men's mountain bike and also entered the parked vehicle in the garage and removed $20.00 in cash. Total value taken is $120.00.

Between December 28, 2012 at 4:30 p.m. and December 29 at 5:15 a.m., an unlocked vehicle parked in the 30 block of Paterson Road was entered by an unknown person who removed compact discs and prescription glasses. Total value taken is $200.00. 

Between December 28, 2012 at 7 p.m. and December 29 at 8 a.m. an unlocked vehicle parked in the 200 block of North Martine Avenue was entered by an unknown person who removed compact discs, hat and prescription sun glasses. Total value taken is $430.00. 

Between December 28, 2012 at 7 p.m. and December 29 at 8a.m., an unlocked vehicle parked in the 200 block of North Martine Avenue was entered by an unknown person who removed sun glasses and Christmas gifts. Total value taken is $110.00. 


Between January 2, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. and January 3 at 7 a.m. a resident in the 40 block of Cray Terrace reported that her unlocked vehicle was entered by an unknown person who removed a GPS unit valued at $200.00.
