Fanwood Blotter: D.W.I., Warrant Arrests and Stolen iPad and Camera

November 13, 2012: At 12:00 p.m. an officer made a motor vehicle stop in the 100 block of South Ave. for a motor vehicle violation. A check of the driver shows an active warrant out of Fanwood. The driver was arrested, processed and released by the Fanwood Municipal Court. The defendant is a Rashmare Baker, a 24-year-old male from Elizabeth. Also, a check of the passenger shows an active warrant out of Elizabeth. The Passenger was arrested, processed and released by Elizabeth Municpal Court. The defendant is a Marva Baker, a 56-year-old female from Elizabeth. 


November 16, 2012: At 10:15 a.m. the victim was in a business in the 500 block of North Ave. shopping. When he came back to his vehicle he noticed his IPAD 3 and a camera were missing from the vehicle.
The total value taken is $ 850.00.


November 17, 2012: At 8:41 p.m. an officer made a motor vehicle stop at North Ave. and Tillotson Rd. for a motor vehicle violation. While the Officer was speaking with the driver he could detect a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the vehicle. The driver was asked to step out of the vehicle for some field sobriety test which he was unable to perform. The driver was placed under arrest, processed and charged with D.W.I. and motor vehicle violations. The driver was turned over to a responsible person. The defendant is a Lawrence Zambita, a 32-year-old male from Kenilworth.

November 18, 2012: At 8:10 a.m. an officer made a motor vehicle stop at South Ave. and Old South Ave. West for a motor vehicle violation. A check of the driver shows an active warrant out of Summit. The driver was arrested, processed and released by Summit Municipal Court. The defendant is a Lyle Dungee, a 27-year-old male from Plainfield. 


November 18, 2012: At 4:20 p.m. Officer made a motor vehicle stop at Terrill Rd. & Midway Ave. for a motor vehicle violation. A check of the driver shows an active warrant out of Piscataway. The driver was arrested, processed, posted bail and released. The defendant is a Giancarlo Silva, a 28-year-old male from Plainfield.
