Arrests

September 6, 2012: At 11:09 a.m. an officer made a motor vehicle stop at Martine Ave. and Pleasant Ave. for a motor vehicle violation. A check of the driver shows an active warrant out of Clark. The driver was arrested, processed and released by Clark Municipal Court. The defendant is a Jamie Nieves, a 37-year-old male from Perth Amboy. 

September 7, 2012: At 8:03 a.m. an officer made a motor vehicle stop in the 300 block of South Ave. for a motor vehicle violation. A check of the driver shows an active warrant out of Watchung. The driver was arrested, processed, posted bail and released. The defendant is a 24-year-old female from Plainfield.

September 7, 2012: At 3:58 p.m. an officer made a motor vehcile stop at South Ave. and Locust Ave. for a motor vehicle violation. A check of the driver shows an active warrant out of Ridgefield. The driver was arrested, processed, and released by Ridgefield Municipal Court. The defendant is a Cassandra Smith, a 27-year-old female from North Bergen.

September 13, 2012: At 6 p.m. an officer was on an investigation in the 70 block of North Martine Ave. when the officer had knowledge of a person with an active warrant out of Hunterdon County Superior Court. The Officer placed him under arrest, processed him and turned over to Hunterdon County Sheriff's Department. The defendant is a Prasant Patel, a 37-year-old male from North Brunswick.

September 14, 2012: At 12:36 p.m. An Officer made a motor vehicle stop in the 300 block of LaGrande Ave. for a motor vehcile violation. A check of the driver shows an active warrant out of Ocean Township. The driver was arrested, processed, posted bail and released. A passenger was also in the vehicle and a check on him shows an active warrant out of Tinton Falls. The passenger was arrested, processed and turned over to Tinton Falls Police Department. The driver was a Jacquelin Smith, a 27-year-old female from Fanwood and the passenger is a Michael Poushkin, a 25-year-old male from Tinton Falls. 

September 15, 2012: At 1:02 a.m. an officer was following a vehicle on South Ave. and observed the vehicle weaving left to right in the lane. The Officer made a motor vehicle stop at South Ave. & Shady Ln. While the Officer was speaking with the driver he could detect a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the vehicle. The driver was asked to step out of the vehicle to perform some field sobriety tests, which she was unable to do. The driver was arrested, processed and released to a responsible person. The driver was charged with careless driving, D.W. I., and refusal to submit a breath test, pending court hearing. The defendant is a Deidra Glasgow, a 32-year-old female from Westfield.

September 16, 2012: At 10:34a.m. an officer made a motor vehicle stop at North Ave. and Terrill Rd. for a motor vehicle violation. A check of the driver shows an active warrant out of Scotch Plains. The driver was arrested, processed, posted bail and released. The defendant is a Juanetta Dolphin, a 28-year-old female from Plainfield.
