Fanwood Blotter: Spreading Feces, Store Robbery, Stolen Computer and Arrests

The following information was provided by the Fanwood Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Criminal Mischief

Between September 17, 2012 and September 18, 2012: An unknown person did criminal mischief to the Forest Road Park men's bathroom by spreading human feces on the bathroom walls. 


September 18, 2012:
At 5:05 a.m. a business in the 500 block of North Ave. reported a theft of merchandise valued at $ 200.00. The suspect is described as a white male in his early 20's, 5'-7" to 5'-8" in height, wearing glasses, gray sweat shirt and pants. 

Between September 19, 2012 and September 20, 2012: Between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. a resident in the 10 block of Brohm Place reported that an unknown person entered her unlocked, parked vehicle and removed a lap top computer valued at $ 800.00.


September 20, 2012: At 5:16 p.m. an officer made a motor vehicle stop at Terrill Rd. and South Ave. for a motor vehicle violation. A check of the driver shows an active warrant out of Manalapan. The driver was arrested, processed and turned over to Manalapan P.D. The defendant is a Johana Joo, a 28-year-old female from Elizabeth. 

September 21, 2012: At 4:46 p.m. an officer made a motor vehcile stop at Terrill Rd. and North Ave. for a motor vehicle violation. A check of the driver shows an active warrant out of Scotch Plains. The driver was arrested, processed, posted bail and released. Defendant is a Sharon Johnson, a 32-year-old female from Linden.

How are they sure the feces are human? Did CSI: Fanwood do lab tests? And if so, which song by The Who is their theme song?

For the life of me, I cannot understand these people who leave valuables in their unlocked cars. Every week there is another 100% preventable theft. Do they go on vacation and leave their front doors open, too? A little proactivity goes a long way.
