Fanwood Blotter: Stolen GPS From Car at Fanwood Train Station and Other Arrests

The following information was provided by the Fanwood Police Department.

December 3, 2012: At 3:20 p.m. Officer made a motor vehicle stop in the 300 block of South Ave. for a motor vehicle violation. While the officer was speaking with the driver he could detect a strong odor of marijuana. A search of the vehicle revealed a bag of suspected marijuana. Both the driver and passenger were arrested, processed, charged with possession of C.D.S. and released on a summons with a court date. The driver is a Kamall Moore, 19-year-old male from Plainfield. The passenger is a James Sykes, a  21-year-old male from Plainfield.

 

December 3, 2012: At 8:09 p.m. an officer made a motor vehicle stop at South Avenue and First Street for a motor vehicle violation. A check of the driver shows an active warrant out of Linden. The driver was arrested, processed, posted bail and released. The defendant is a Michael Lowey, a 51-year-old male from South Plainfield.

December 4, 2012: At 12:09 p.m. an officer made a motor vehicle stop in the 200 block of South Avenue for a motor vehicle violation. A check of the driver shows an active warrant out of Union Township. The driver was arrested, processed, posted bail and released. The defendant is a Raheem Fogle, a 33-year-old male from Scotch Plains.

Between December 3, 2012 at 9:00 p.m. and December 4 at 6:30 p.m. a member of a local organization reported criminal mischief to their sales stand, which is located at LaGrande Park.

 

December 6, 2012: Between 8:45 a.m. and 4:10 p.m. a victim reported he parked his vehicle at the Northside Train Station and when he returned an unknown person used a rock and smashed out a rear windshield and removed a G
