Fanwood Issues Urgent Public Service Bulletin: "Massive Damage in Fanwood"

Police Chief, Richard Trigo and Fanwood Mayor, Colleen Mahr urge residents to stay indoors.


The Borough of Fanwood distributed the following bulletin to residents throughout Fanwood:

URGENT PUBLIC SERVICE BULLETIN
As of October 30, 2012 1:00 pm

FROM THE OFFICES OF THE CHIEF OF POLICE RICHARD TRIGO AND MAYOR OF FANWOOD COLLEEN MAHR:

THERE IS MASSIVE DAMAGE IN THE BOROUGH OF FANWOOD. THERE IS NO POWER WITHIN THE BOROUGH.

UPDATE FROM THE AMERICAN WATER COMPANY:

  • WATER IN FANWOOD IS SAFE TO DRINK
  • WATER PRESSURE IS VERY LOW
  • CONSERVE WATER

UPDATE FROM PUBLIC SERVICE:

  • NO ESTIMATES OF TIME FOR RESTORATIONS AT THIS TIME
  • STATEWIDE 2.4 MILLION ARE WITHOUT POWER
  • NO GAS STATIONS IN FANWOOD ARE OPEN
