The man who robbed Fanwood's PNC Bank on Saturday has been connected to two other robberies in Elizabeth, according to a statement today from the FBI's Newark Division, who are investigating the incidents.

According to police, the man is a white male, 30 to 35 years old, approximately 5-foot-7, stocky build, approximately 200 pounds. Police say he robbed the Fanwood PNC Bank on South Martine Avenue Saturday morning, around 11:15 a.m.

In Elizabeth, the FBI says the man robbed the Investors Savings Bank located at 51 South Broad Street on Aug. 30. He was carrying a black bookbag at the time and was wearing the same red-orange hat. He struck again at the same bank on Oct. 30, says the FBI.

"The FBI’s Newark Division and its local police partners are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the individual believed to be responsible for robbing at least three banks in Union County," said the release.

Anyone who recognizes the man in the photos, should contact Fanwood Police or the FBI at 973-792-3000.

No one was injured in any of the incidents. Police could not reveal how much money the alleged robber stole.
