Cases of theft top the list of recent criminal activity in Fanwood.

 Arrests

Peter Primavera Jr., 54, of Bloomfield, was arrested on December 23 at 10:09 a.m. During a field investigation, the Officer located Primavera and discovered that the defendant had three outstanding warrants from Atlantic Highlands, Clark and East Orange. Primavera was arrested, processed, posted bail and released. 

Justin Mojica, 36, of Scotch Plains, was arrested on December 23 at 4:20 p.m. The Officer stopped Mojica for a motor vehicle violation at North and Hunter Avenue and discovered an active warrant out of the Union County Sherriff’s Office. Mojica was arrested, processed and turned over to the Union County Sheriff’s Department.

Craig Rogers, 46, of Plainfield, was arrested on December 26 at 5 p.m. The Officer stopped Rogers for a motor vehicle violation and discovered an active warrant out of Westfield. Rogers was arrested, processed, posted bail and released.

a Jared Jaichon, 24, of Basking Ridge was arrested on December 27, at 8:30 p.m. The Officer stopped Jaichon for a motor vehicle violation at South Avenue and Martine Avenue and discovered an active warrant out of East Brunswick. Jaichon was arrested, processed, posted bail and released.

Theft

A North Avenue resident reported that sometime between December 19 at 7 p.m. and December 20, at 10 p.m., her unlocked vehicle was entered without her authorization. Gift cards an undetermined amount of cash were stolen.

On December 5, a LaGrande Avenue resident reported that a package valued at 45 dollars that had been delivered to his front porch was stolen.

On December 12, a Watson Road resident reported that between 1:45 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. a package valued at 100 dollars that had been delivered to her front porch was stolen. 

On December 24, at 1:44 a.m., a Waldon Road resident reported that an unknown suspect smashed his windshield and gained access and stole a GPS unit valued at 130 dollars.

On December 23 @at1:44 AM a Waldon Road resident reported that his unlocked vehicle was entered and a GPS unit valued at 130 dollars was stolen.

A Thorne Place resident reported that sometime between December 23 at 11 p.m. and December 24 at 7 a.m., his unlocked vehicle was entered and an iPod valued at 300 dollars was stolen.

 A Chetwood Terrace resident reported that sometime between December 23, at 4:30 p.m. and December 24 at 2 p.m., unknown suspect(s) entered his unlocked vehicle and stole a GPS unit and a DVD Player. The total value is 250 dollars.

A Burns Way resident reported that his sometime between December 23 at 8 p.m. and December 24 at 3 p.m., his unlocked vehicle was entered and a GPS valued at 150 dollars was stolen.

Criminal Mischief

A Locust Avenue resident reported an act of criminal mischief. The victim stated that sometime between December 21, at 11 p.m., and December 22 at 3 p.m., an unknown suspect cut the string of Christmas lights decorating her house.

Burglary

On December 20, a Marian Avenue resident reported a burglary. The victim stated that sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 9: 30 p.m. unknown suspect(s) burglarized their house. Numerous pieces of jewelry are missing. The value is not known at this time.
