Drug Arrest
Christopher Duddy, 26, of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, was arrested on January 8, at 2:40 p.m. at South Avenue for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. When the Officer approached the vehicle he could smell the odor of burnt marijuana coming from the inside of the vehicle. Further questioning and investigation lead to the Officer’s discovery of the marijuana and paraphernalia that was located within Duddy’s vehicle. Duddy has been released pending his court hearing.

Avia Jacobs, 30, of Newark, was arrested on January 8, at 12:06 p.m. The Officer stopped Jacobs for a motor vehicle violation at Portland Avenue and Westfield Road and discovered an active warrant out of Roseland. Jacobs was arrested, processed, posted bail and released.
Burglary

On January 3, between 8:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. a residence on Second Street was burglarized. The victim stated that numerous pieces of jewelry are missing.
