Fanwood PD Bust Two for Possession of Marijuana
Fanwood Police nab those driving with active warrants, in possession of illegal drugs, and investigate local thefts and criminal mischief.
Theft
A Herbert Avenue resident reported that a GPS unit valued at $100 was stolen from her unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the street. The victim stated that the theft occurred sometime between March 24 at 3 p.m. and 8 a.m. on March 26.
Criminal Mischief

The owner of a commercial vehicle reported that on March 31, between the hours of 9:30 and 11 a.m., an unknown person damaged his side-view mirror while the vehicle was parked on Montrose Avenue near Westfield Road.

Tyshina Spencer, 26, of Plainfield, was arrested at 9:50 a.m. on March 28 for an active warrant out of South Plainfield and possession of marijuana. The Officer stopped Spencer at North Avenue and Nicholas Court for a motor vehicle violation and discovered the warrant. During the arrest, Police located marijuana under 50 grams on the defendant. Spencer was charged with possession, processed, posted bail and released pending a court hearing.
Hubert Davis, 52, of Scotch Plains, was arrested at 12:05 p.m. on March 28 for possession of marijuana and an active warrant out of Plainfield. The Officer stopped Davis at Morse Avenue and Westfield Road for a motor vehicle violation and discovered the warrant. During the arrest, Police located marijuana under 50 grams on the defendant. Davis was charged with possession, processed, posted bail and released pending a court hearing.
Sadiqua Harvard, 36, of Linden was arrested at 5:52 p.m. on March 30 for an active warrant out of Clark. The Officer stopped Harvard on South Avenue for a motor vehicle violation and discovered the warrant. Harvard was arrested, processed, posted bail and released.
Margaret Leonard, 67, of Plainfield, was arrested at 4:30 p.m. on March 26, for an active warrant out of Dunnellen. The Officer stopped Leonard at LaGrande Avenue and Laurel Place for a motor vehicle violation and discovered the warrant. Leonard was arrested, processed, posted bail and released.
