Fanwood Police Crack Down on Outsiders with Outstanding Warrants

Fanwood Police arrest 9 out-of-towners for active warrants.

Theft

On February 25, a Kempshall Terrance resident reported a theft. The victim stated that a delivered package valued at $50 was stolen from the front of her house.

Carina Pichardo, 26, of Piscataway, was arrested on February 27, at 4:38 p.m. at South Avenue and Terrill Road. The Officer stopped Pichardo for a motor vehicle violation and discovered an active warrant out of South Plainfield. Pichardo was arrested, processed, posted bail and released.  

James Cleaver, 26, of Fanwood, was arrested on March 1, at 2:19 p.m. Police apprehended Cleaver during a field investigation at South and Martine Avenue and discovered an active warrant out of Clark for the defendant. Cleaver was arrested, processed, posted bail and released.

Leslie Malachi, 27, of Highland Park, was arrested on March 2, at 9:08 a.m. at South Avenue. The Officer stopped Malachi for a motor vehicle violation and discovered an active warrant out of Rahway. The Malachi was arrested, processed, posted bail and released.

Eddy Perezzapata, 37, of Bridgewater, was arrested on March 2, at 11:05 a.m. at South Avenue and Third Street. The Officer stopped Perezzapata for a motor vehicle violation and discovered an active warrant out of Westfield. Perezzapata was arrested, processed, posted bail and released. 

Michael Williams, 24, of South Plainfield, was arrested on March 2, at 3:14 p.m. at South Avenue. The Officer stopped Williams for a motor vehicle violation and discovered an active warrant out of Rahway. Williams was arrested, processed and released by Rahway Court. 

Daniel Johnson, 28, of Newark, was arrested on March 4, at 11:40 a.m. at South Avenue and First Street. The Officer stopped Johnson for a motor vehicle violation and discovered an active warrant out of Mountainside. Johnson was arrested, processed and turned over to Mountainside Police.

Andres Melendez, 53, and Stanley Dawidowicz, 51, both of Plainfield, were arrested on March 4, at 3:11 p.m., at Midway Avenue and Russell Road.  The officer stopped Melendez for a motor vehicle violation and discovered an active warrant out of North Plainfield. Melendez was arrested, processed and turned over to North Plainfield Police.

A check of Melendez’s passenger, Stanley Dawidowicz, revealed an active warrant out of Hunterdon County Superior Court. Passenger was arrested, processed and turned over to The Hunterdon County Sheriff Department.
