Fanwood Police Investigate Two North Ave. Burglaries, Local Thefts
In less than three days, two North Avenue Homes were burglarized. Police continue to investigate stolen bikes, packages, and items within parked cars.
Burglary
Sometime between February 16 and February 20, a North Avenue residence was burglarized. The resident stated that the side door of the garage was forced open and numerous items were stolen. The total value of the items stolen is approximately $800.
Sometime between February 19 and February 20, a North Avenue residence was burglarized. The resident stated that side door to the garage was unlocked at the time. The value of the items stolen totals $300.

Theft
Between 9:30 and 11:30 p.m. on February 25, a theft occurred on Pleasant Avenue. The victim stated that an unknown person entered his locked vehicle which was parked outside his residence, and stole numerous items valued at $913.

Between December 14, 2011 and February 1, several packages valued at $170, were stolen from the front porch of a LaGrande Avenue residence.
Sometime between February 18 and February 26, a theft occurred at a Russell Road residence. The resident reported that his bicycle, valued at $405, was stolen from his detached garage.
Arrests
Norshawn Dorsey, 31, of Plainfield, was arrested at 3:50 p.m. on February 23, at Midway Avenue and East Third Street. stopped Dorsey for a motor vehicle violation and discovered an active warrant out of Plainfield. Dorsey was arrested, processed and turned over to Plainfield Police.
Eddie Cajas-Bravo, 44, year of North Plainfield, was arrested at 11:29 a.m. on February 22, at South Avenue and Sheelens Crossing. Police stopped Cajas-Bravo for a motor vehicle violation and discovered an active warrant out of North Plainfield. Cajas-Bravo was arrested, processed, posted bail and released.
Kandace Francis, 23, of Plainfield, was arrested at 1:56 p.m. on February 23, at South and Martine Avenue. Police stopped Francis for a motor vehicle violation and discovered an active warrant out of Greenbrook. The driver was arrested, processed, posted bail and released.
