Fanwood Police Reports: Feb. 13 to 24

Police activity from the past few weeks.

Fanwood Police are investigating an attempted home burglary in the borough on Wednesday, Feb. 24.

Police received a report from a resident of the 60 block of Tillotson Road that someone tried to gain entry to their home between 10:30 and 11 a.m. that day. The resident told police that she discovered one of her rear window screens pushed out. Entry was not gained to the home.

Saturday, Feb. 13:

  • Antonio Abney, 52, of Bound Brook, was arrested for providing false information and driving with a suspended license after a motor vehicle stop at 4:17 a.m. at the intersection of South and LaGrande avenues. He was processed, issued a summons and released.

Monday, Feb. 15:

  • Shawn Johnson, 42, of Plainfield, was arrested for outstanding warrants and exhibiting false documentation to police after a motor vehicle stop at 4:06 p.m. at the intersection of Terrill Road and E. 2nd Street. She posted bail and was released.

Tuesday, Feb. 16:

  • Pamela Davis, 42, of Plainfield, was arrested for an active Fanwood warrant after a motor vehicle stop at 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Martine Avenue and Watson Road. She posted bail and was released.

Wednesday, Feb. 17:

  • Reveca Diaz, 32, of Elizabeth, was arrested for outstanding Cranford, Scotch Plains and other warrants after a field investigation at 11:55 a.m. on the 70 block of N. Martine Avenue. She was picked up by Cranford police.

Thursday, Feb. 18:

  • Kevin Diggs, 39, was arrested for outstanding warrants out of Princeton, Cedar Grove, Little Egg Harbor, Plainfield, Cranford and Elizabeth after a motor vehicle stop at 8:58 a.m. on Terrill Road. He was picked up by the municipality with the highest bail set for him.

Friday, Feb. 19:

  • Anthony Cusmano, 48, of Rahway, was arrested for an outstanding Piscataway warrant and possession of a controlled dangerous substance after a motor vehicle stop at 3:14 p.m. at the intersection of Martine and Herbert avenues. He posted bail and was released.

Saturday, Feb. 20:

  • Kevin Johnson, 27, of Scotch Plains, was arrested for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia after a motor vehicle stop at 12:48 a.m. at the intersection of Terrill Road and E. 7th Street. Officers pulled Johnson over for a motor vehicle violation when they smelled the odor of marijuana. During a search of his person, they also found prescription drugs not in a bottle. He posted bail and was released.
  • Nelson Reyes, 30, of Elizabeth, was arrested for giving an officer suspicious documents after a motor vehicle stop at 11:26 a.m. at the intersection of South and Old South Avenue E. Upon further investigation, the officer discovered Reyes was wanted by Immigration Custody Enforcement (ICE) for being in violation of his immigration status, with a warrant out to deport him. Reyes was turned over to ICE.

Sunday, Feb. 21:

  • Anthony Kruglyak, 20, of Scotch Plains, was arrested for possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute after a motor vehicle stop at 1 a.m. at the intersection of North Avenue and Crestwood Road. He posted bail and was released.

Tuesday, Feb. 23:

  • Joao Hernandes, 45, of East Strausberg, Penn., was arrested for an outstanding Jersey City warrant after a motor vehicle stop at 8:58 a.m. at the intersection of S. Martine and Marian avenues. He posted bail and was released.
  • Julio Ramirez, 35, of North Plainfield, was arrested for a Plainfield warrant after a motor vehicle stop at 1:25 p.m. at the intersection of Terrill Road and South Avenue. He posted bail and was released.
