Drunken Fanwood Woman Involved in Hit-and-Run, Police Say

Denise Kreger, 51, was charged with DWI after Kempshall Terrace incident.

A Fanwood woman was charged with DWI after police said she was involved in a hit-and-run accident with another vehicle.

Fanwood Police were investigating a hit-and-run accident on Oct. 21 at about 9 p.m. on the 50 block of Kempshall Terrace when they stopped Denise Kreger, 51, Officers detected an odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle and Kreger was not able to complete field sobriety tests, police said.

Kreger was placed under arrest and charged with DWI, careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident.
