FW Police Reports: Assaults and Outstanding Warrants

Here's an account of the Police activity from the week of June 25 to July 1.

As usual, out-of-towners with arrest warrants made up the bulk of the Fanwood police activity this week. Several Plainfield residents, and a couple of Westfield ones, were among those arrested after being stopped for motor vehicle violations.

Thursday, June 25

  • Vincent Disconti, 31, of Staten Island, was arrested on Westfield Road and Morris Avenue at about 4:30pm for an outstanding warrant. Disconti was stopped for a motor vehicle violation when the officer discovered the warrant. He posted bail and was released.

Friday, June 26

  • Jeremy Lisnock, 32, of Westfield, was arrested at 9:22am on Terrill Road for an outstanding Kenilworth warrant. Lisnock was stopped for a motor vehicle violation when the officer discovered the warrant. He posted bail and was released.

Saturday, June 27

  • At 2:30pm on the 100 block of Helen Street, a woman reported that she had been assaulted by a resident there. No arrests were made, but the woman was told that she could go to municipal court if she wanted to pursue it further, since no officers witnessed the assault.
  • Between 10pm and 11:30pm, a resident called police to report criminal mischief. The man said that someone wrote on his driveway with chalk. The incident is still under investigation.

Sunday, June 28

  • Kashari Slaughter, 23, was arrested for simple assault. Slaughter was arrested after officers responded to a dispute call at 9:30am on the 20 block of Roosevelt Avenue. She posted bail and was released.
  • Preston Lynn, 53, of Carteret, was arrested for numerous outstanding warrants. Lynn was traveling on Terrill Road near East Seventh Street at 11:10pm when officers stopped him for a motor vehicle violation. All towns with warrants for his arrest released him.

Monday, June 29

  • Jacqueline Pollard, 45, of Plainfield, was arrested for hindering her own apprehension. Pollard was stopped for a motor vehicle violation at 11:26am at South Avenue and Terrill Road when she gave officers a fraudulent New Jersey driver's license. She posted bail and was released.

Tuesday, June 30

  • Maria Vazquez, 60, from Corona, NY, was arrested at 1:06pm for an outstanding Tenafly warrant. Vazquez was stopped for a motor vehicle violation when the officer discovered the warrant. She posted bail and was released.

Wednesday, July 1

  • Rodney Maughn, 51, of Westfield, was arrested at 11:56pm for a South Plainfield warrant. Maughn was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on S. Martine Avenue when the officer discovered the warrant. He posted bail and was released.

Tuesday, July 2

  • Michael Jackson, 37, of Plainfield, was arrested for an outstanding Patterson warrant. He posted bail and was released.
