FW Police Reports: Outstanding Warrants Dominate Arrests

Here's a look at Fanwood Police activity from July 2 to July 7.

Out-of-towners with outstanding warrants once again made up the bulk of the police arrests in Fanwood over the past week. Rochelle, Plainfield and Scotch Plains residents were among those arrested.

Thursday, July 2:

  • Phills E. Ifeanyi, of Far Rockaway, NY, was arrested at 1:05 p.m. on Martine Avenue for outstanding Linden, Scotch Plains and Cranford warrants. He posted bail and was released.

  • Sidalise Michel, 50, of Rochelle, was arrested at 1:49 p.m. on Martine Avenue, for an outstanding Scotch Plains warrant. Michel posted bail and was released.
  • Friday, July 3:

    • Jimmie Benjamin, 60, of Plainfield, was arrested at 8:45 a.m. at the intersection of Terrill Road and Midway Avenue for an outstanding Lacey warrant. He was stopped for a motor vehicle violation when the officer discovered the warrant. His son, Jimmie Benjamin Jr., 35, of Plainfield, was also arrested at that time for an outstanding Union warrant. Both posted bail and were released.

    Sunday, July 5:

    • John J. Parleton III, 35, of Scotch Plains, was arrested at 9:07 a.m. on the 200 block of South Avenue for an outstanding Westfield warrant. Parleton was stopped for a motor vehicle violation when the officer discovered the warrant. He posted bail and was released.
