FW Police Reports: Two Arrests This Week

Activity from Aug. 23 to 26.

Fanwood Police say it's been a slow week in the borough. Only two arrests have been made, according to Det. Eugene Chin.

On Sunday, August 23, at 4:38 a.m., Union County police arrested an individual for a Fanwood bench warrant. Allen Jones, 49, of Union, was transported to Fanwood, where he was processed and released with a new court date.

Then on August 26, at 9:48 p.m., an officer stopped an individual for for speeding on Terrill Road near East Seventh Street. The driver, Chukwuma Mba, 34, of Springfield, Va., was then arrested when the officer discovered he had an active warrant out of East Brunswick. Mba was transported to police headquarters, where he posted bail and was released.
