Newark Man Accused of Burglarizing Scotch Plains Businesses

Police say Kabir Nunnally, 44, of Newark stole cash from Osaka Sushi, Shear Precision and the Swiss Pastry Shoppe.

Scotch Plains Police have arrested a Newark man in connection with two burglaries and an attempted burglary that occurred in the past two months. 

Kabir Nunnally, 44, of Newark broke into and stole cash from Osaka Sushi and Shear Precision on Oct. 2, and the Swiss Pastry Shoppe on Nov. 5, police said.

Police said Nunnally attempted to burglarize Alfredo's Italian Deli the following day.

Nunnally broke into the businesses through rear doors or windows and stole cash, police said.

The arrest was made when the department received information from the Garwood Police Department after Nunnally had burglarized a dog wash on North Avenue and was caught on surveillance tapes and identified.

Nunnally was charged with four counts of burglary. He was transported to the Union County Jail and he is being held on $75,000 bail.
