Water Will Shutdown Overnight In Fanwood Along South Avenue From 11PM To 5AM

A message from Richard Trigo, Fanwood Chief of Police:

The NJ American Water Company, which began water main upgrades this week on South Matine Avenue in downtown Fanwood, has distributed flyers with the following message to residents and businesses along South Avenue from Locust Avenue west to just past Martine Avenue, Locust Avenue and Old South Avenue:

Dear Residents & Business Owners,

As part of New Jersey American Water Company’s ongoing facilities upgrade and maintenance program, it will be necessary to shut off your water service on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 from approximately 11:00PM, till approximately 5:00AM Thursday, March 27, 2014. We suggest that you save water for use during the shut-down period.

We are told this is the result of an unanticipated repair issue associated with the main under the intersection of South and Martine Avenues.
