PBA Casino Night Will Raise Funds for Officer's Daughter's Cancer Fight

Officer CJ Franco's 22-year-old daughter was recently diagnosed with stage 4 synovial sarcoma.

The Scotch Plains PBA is running a Casino Night to support the family of 25-year department veteran CJ Franco.

Officer Franco's 22-year-old daughter, Samantha Franco, was recently diagnosed with stage 4 synovial sarcoma, a very rare and aggressive form of cancer.

Samantha is currently undergoing cancer treatment at Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. The PBA is raising money to help cover some of the expenses not covered by insurance.

Casino Night will be held on Feb. 8 from 7-10 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.). Tickets are $40 and include dinner, beer, wine and play money for gambling to win prizes.

The event will be held at the Scotch Plains Italian-American Hall at 1976 Valley Avenue, Scotch Plains. For tickets, contact Officer David Lavery at 908-229-3956.
