Scotch Plains Blotter: Car Taken From Driveway, Warrant Arrests and Credit Card Fraud

The following information was provided by the Scotch Plains Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

 

November 5, 2012:

Marvin Harris Age. 53 of Avenel was arrested for a $1,100 outstanding warrant issued by the Scotch Plains court.  Officer Silva stopped Harris for a motor vehicle violation on East Second St. and discovered the warrant.  He was transported to H.Q. where he was processed and released.

November 5, 2012:

 

 

A resident of Crestwood Road reported being a victim of Fraud.  He stated he made a purchase over the internet when the unknown suspect cashed the payment and did not deliver the correct item that was to be sold.  

 

 

November 8, 2012: 

A resident of Edgewood Terrace reported that sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) removed his vehicle which was parked in the driveway.


 

November 9, 2012: 

A resident of Park Place reported being a victim of Fraud.  She stated that unknown suspect(s) removed several hundred dollars from her debit card without her authorization.   


 

November 9, 2012: 

Stephen Caprari Age. 29 of Gilette was arrested for a $1,250 outstanding warrant issued by the Wall court.  Officer Lavery stopped Caprari for a motor vehicle violation on Front St. and discovered the warrant.  He was transported to H.Q. where he was processed and released.

 

November 10, 2012: 

A resident of Watchung Terrace reported being a victim of Fraud.  He stated that unknown suspect(s) made approximately $900 in purchases on his credit card without his authorization.
