Scotch Plains Blotter: Cash Register Stolen From Second Street Business

The following information is provided by the Scotch Plains Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.


The following information was provided by the Scotch Plains Police Department.


January 1, 2013:

A resident of Clinton Avenue reported being a victim of a Theft.  He stated that sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) removed the license plates from his vehicle.

 

January 1, 2013:    

The owner of a Route 22 business reported being a victim of a Theft. He stated that sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) removed several vehicle parts from his yard.


January 2, 2013: 

The owner of a business on East Second Street reported being victim of a Burglary.  He stated that sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) entered his business.  Once inside the suspect(s) removed the cash register.  Entrance was gain through the front glass window.

 

January 2, 2013:  

The owner of a Plainfield Avenue business reported being a victim of Fraud.  He stated that he performed work for an individual and the customer paid him with a fraudulent check.  The check was made out for the amount of $296.


January 2, 2013:  

A resident of O’Donnell Avenue reported being a victim.  He stated that that his son took his vehicle without his consent and has failed to bring it back. 


January 3, 2013:            

A resident of Julia Ct. reported being a victim of Fraud.  She stated that received a call from her bank stating that unknown suspect(s) attempted to open a credit card in her name.

 

January 3, 2013:

A resident of Grand Street reported being a victim of Harassment.  He stated that unknown suspect(s) left a note on his vehicle and the note contained threats.     


January 3, 2013:        

A resident of Inverness Drive reported being a victim of a Theft.  She stated that sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) stole an inflatable holiday decoration. The decoration was valued at approximately $150.


January 3, 2013:  

Timothy Byrne Age. 33 of Mountainside was arrested for Possession of Marijuana. Officer Luciano stopped Byrne for a motor vehicle violation on Victor Street and while speaking with him he observed the Marijuana.  He was arrested and transported to H.Q. where he was processed and released.


January 5, 2013:    

A resident of Sunnyfield Lane reported being a victim of Fraud.  He stated unknown suspect(s) made approximately $2,000 in purchases on his credit card without his authorization.


January 5, 2013:        

A resident of Beverly Ave.  reported being a victim of Criminal Mischief. She stated that sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) keyed the side of her vehicle which was parked in front of her house.


January 5, 2013:

The manager of a Route 22 gas station reported being a victim of a Theft.  He stated a vehicle received $30 worth of gas and then left without paying.


January 5, 2013:      

Wayman Phillips Age. 45 of Plainfield N.J. was arrested for a $1,083 outstanding warrant issued by the Plainfield court.  Officer Budzinski stopped Phillips for a motor vehicle violation on Kevin Road and discovered the warrant. He was transported to H.Q. where he was processed and released.


January 5, 2013:      

Alexa Rocco Age. 19 of North Plainfield  was arrested for Possession of Marijuana. Officer Luciano stopped Rocco for a motor vehicle violation on Route 22 and while speaking with her he observed the Marijuana.  Rocco was arrested and transported to H.Q. where she was processed and released.


January 7, 2013:              

John Martin Age. 19 of Plainfield N.J. was arrested for Distribution of Crack.  Officer Pearson stopped Martin for a motor vehicle violation on Route 22 and while speaking with him he observed the crack, after investigating further, additional crack was discovered.  He was arrested and transported to H.Q. where he was processed and released after posting bail.
