Scotch Plains Blotter: Residential Break-in on Laurie Court and Other Incidents

The following information was provided by the Scotch Plains Police Department.

December 4, 2012: A resident of Acacia Rd. reported being a victim of Fraud.  He stated that he received a call from a store stating that unknown suspect(s) opened up a credit card in his name without his authorization.

December 5, 2012: Richard Nix, age 23 of Scotch Plains was arrested for a $189 outstanding warrant issued by the Scotch Plains court.  Officer Luciano stopped Nix for a motor vehicle violation on Front St. and discovered the warrant.  He was transported to H.Q. where he was processed and released.


December 5, 2012: A resident of Laurie Court reported being a victim of a Burglary.  She stated that sometime during the day unknown suspect(s) entered her house.  Entrance was gained by prying open the bedroom window. Nothing appeared to be taken from the house.

December 7, 2012: A resident of Canterbury Dr. reported being a victim of Criminal Mischief.  He stated that sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) slashed both rear tires of his vehicle.

 

December 8, 2012: A resident of Redwood Rd. reported being a victim of Fraud.  She stated that unknown suspect(s) made approximately $1,000 in purchases on her credit card.       

 

December 9, 2012: A resident of Country Club Blvd. reported that sometime overnight an unknown suspect(s) hit his vehicle and drove away.  The vehicle was legally parked in front of his house when it was struck.

 

December 10, 2012: A resident of Pine Terrace reported being a victim of Fraud.  She stated that unknown suspect(s) attempted to withdraw money from her account without her authorization.

 

December 10, 2012: A resident of Lamberts Mill Road reported being a victim of Criminal Mischief.  He stated that sometime overnight, an unknown suspect(s) broke several Christmas decorations that he had on his front lawn.           

 

December 10, 2012: Dion Johnson, age 31, of Edison was arrested for a $350 outstanding warrant issued by the Plainfield court.  Officer Lavery stopped Johnson for a motor vehicle violation on Rahway Road and discovered the warrant. He was transported to H.Q. where he was processed and released.
