Scotch Plains Blotter: Theft, Harassment, and Warrant Arrests

The following information was provided by the Scotch Plains Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

August 20, 2012: An East Second Street store owner reported being the victim of criminal mischief. He stated an unknown person threw a rock at his building overnight, causing damage.

August 20, 2012: A Route 22 gas station manager reported being the victim of theft. He stated a customer received approximately $90 in gas and left without paying.

August 20, 2012: A Park Avenue resident reported being the victim of harassment. She reported an ongoing dispute with her neighbor who frequently yells at her.

August 21, 2012: A Tussell Lane resident reported being the victim of theft. She reported an unknown suspect removed the fender of her parked vehicle overnight, valued at $200.

August 22, 2012: A Church Avenue resident reported being the victim of fraud. She stated an unknown person charged $500 on her credit card without her authorization.

August 24, 2012: A Gary Court resident reported being the victim of a burglary. He reported an unknown person entered his house between August 22 and August 24, removing an undetermined amount of cash and jewelry.

August 24, 2012: A Hillside, NJ man was arrested for an outstanding warrant from Union as a result of a vehicle stop by Ptl. Budzinski.

August 24, 2012: A Plainfield, NJ man was arrested for an outstanding warrant from Scotch Plains as a result of a vehicle stop by Ptl. Combs.

August 25, 2012: An Elizabeth, NJ man was arrested for an outstanding warrant from Kearny as a result of a vehicle stop by Ptl. Silva.

August 25, 2012: A New York Avenue resident reported being the victim of theft. She stated an unknown person removed two plants from her yard overnight, valued at $40.

August 25, 2012: A Park Avenue store owner reported the theft of a $1,500 handbag from her store.

August 25, 2012: A Plainfield, NJ man was arrested for an outstanding warrant from Scotch Plains as a result of a vehicle stop by Ptl. Comb.

August 25, 2012: A Plainfield, NJ woman was arrested for an outstanding warrant from Scotch Plains as a result of a vehicle stop by Ptl. Citarella.

August 26, 2012: A Parlin, NJ man was arrested for driving while intoxicated as a result of a vehicle stop by Ptl. Ostrowski.
