Scotch Plains Blotter: Thefts, Burglaries and Drugs
The following information was provided by the Scotch Plains Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.
August 13, 2012: A resident of Green Hickory Hill reported being a victim of a Theft. He stated that sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) entered his vehicle. Once inside the suspect(s) removed undetermined amount of change. Entrance was gained through an unlocked door.
August 13, 2012: A resident of Green Hickory Hill reported being a victim of a Theft. He stated that sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) entered his vehicle. Once inside the suspect(s) removed a garage door opener. Entrance was gained through an unlocked door.
August 13, 2012: A resident of Morse Ave. reported being victim of a Theft. He stated that unknown suspect(s) removed a bicycle from the back of his house. The bike is valued at approximately $100.

August 13, 2012: A resident of Clover Lane reported being a victim of a Theft. He stated that sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) entered his vehicle which was parked in her driveway. Once inside the suspect(s) removed an undetermined amount of change. Entrance was gained through an unlocked door.
August 13, 2012: A resident of Correja Ave. Iselin N.J. was arrested for Burglary. Detective Hayeck conducted an investigation into numerous vehicle burglaries. After concluding his investigation it was determined that Samsel tried to sell several items taken from vehicles in Scotch Plains. He was arrested and transported to police headquarters where he was processed and released after posting bail.

August 15, 2012: A resident of Leesville Ave. Rahway N.J. was arrested for a $500 outstanding warrant issued by the Scotch Plains court. Police stopped Stadler for a motor vehicle violation on Route 22 and discovered the warrant. He was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and released.
August 15, 2012: A resident of Jersey Ave. reported being a victim of Criminal Mischief. He stated that sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) damaged the screen door to his rear porch.
August 17, 2012: A resident of Smith St. Scotch Plains N.J. was arrested for a $409 outstanding warrant issued by the Scotch Plains court. Police stopped Williams for a motor vehicle violation on Park Ave. and discovered the warrant. He was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and released.
August 17, 2012: A resident of Kew Dr. Springfield N.J. was arrested for Possession of Marijuana Off. VonLangen stopped Trager for a motor vehicle violation on Route 22 and while speaking with him he observed the Marijuana. He was arrested and transported to headquarters where he was processed and released.
