Scotch Plains Man Was Drunk, Disorderly, Say Florida Police

Jason Stoveken allegedly punched cars, urinated on a building and cursed at Delray Beach police.

A Scotch Plains man was arrested by Delray Beach police after a drunken stumble through town that included punching cars, urinating on the side of a building and an altercation with officers, according to a report in the Sun Sentinal.

After a caller reported that a man was shouting profanities, stumbling and punching cars, police arrived to the location and heard other complaints from those who had seen Stoveken, says the report. One business owner reported that Stoveken urinated on the side of his building; a frozen yogurt store employee said he was "very drunk and acting like a jerk."

Stoveken hopped in a cab, but when the driver tried to kick him out of it a block later, police caught up to him. Stoveken then tried to get back in the cab and shouted profanities at officers, according to the report. He was arrested and booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on misdemeanor charges of disorderly intoxication and resisting an officer without violence.
