Acts of fraud to the detailed list of recent criminal activity in Scotch Plains.

Arrests

Luis Rodrigues, 20, of Elizabeth, was arrested on December 2 for possession of narcotics. Officer Luciano stopped Rodrigues for a motor vehicle violation, discovered the narcotics in the vehicle, transported Rodrigues to police headquarters where he was processed and released.

 Nicholas Camet, 21, of Roselle, was arrested on December 2 for possession of drug paraphernalia. Officer Luciano stopped Camet for a motor vehicle violation on Terrill Road and discovered the paraphernalia. Camet was then transported to headquarters where he was processed and released.

Susan Maisack, 23, of Bloomfield was arrested on December 3 for a 1,790 dollar outstanding warrant issued by the Bernards court. Officer Alvarez-Diaz stopped Maisack for a motor vehicle violation and discovered the warrant. She was transported to police headquarters, processed, and released.

Aiesha Williams, 25, of East Orange, was arrested on December 3, for a 150 dollar outstanding warrant issued by the Roselle court. Officer Lavery stopped Williams for a motor vehicle violation on Route 22 and discovered the warrant. He was transported to police headquarters, processed and released.

Criminal Mischief

On December 3, a resident of Victor Street reported being a victim of criminal mischief. The victim stated that sometime overnight, unknown suspects damaged the Christmas lights on his front yard.

 Fraud

On November 28, a resident reported being a victim of fraud.  She stated that sometime over the last several weeks unknown suspect(s) made several thousand dollars in purchases on her credit card without her authorization.

On November 30, a resident reported being a victim of fraud.  She stated that sometime over the last several weeks, an unknown suspect(s) made several hundred dollars in purchases on her debit card without her authorization.

Harassment

On November 28, a resident reported being a victim of harassment. She stated that a relative calls her several times a day and yells insults and obscenities at her.

Trespassing

On December 1, a resident reported being a victim of trespassing. She stated that she has been having an ongoing dispute with her neighbor. When the victim returned home, she noticed that he was standing on her property and yelled at her when she asked him to leave.
