Scotch Plains Police Blotter: Suspect Took Awning Off Route 22 Store

The following arrest information was provided by the Scotch Plains Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

Scotch Plains Police Department activity from March 4 - 10, 2013:

 3/4                       The owner of a Route 22 store reported being a victim of a Theft. He stated that sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) removed the awning from his building.  The awning was valued at approximately $5,000.

3/5                       The manager of a Route 22 gas station reported being a victim of Fraud.  He stated a customer paid for gas with a counterfeit bill.

3/6                        A student at the Scotch Plains Fanwood High School reported being a victim of a Theft.  He stated during gym class he left his IPhone in an unlocked locker when an unknown suspect(s) removed it.  It was valued at approximately $200.

3/6                        A resident of Raritan Rd. reported being a victim of Fraud.  She stated that unknown suspect(s) made approximately $850 in purchases on her credit card without her authorization.

3/9                        A resident of Acacia Rd. reported being a victim of an Attempted Burglary.  She stated sometime during the day unknown suspect(s) tampered with the lock on her back porch door.  Entrance was not gained.

3/9                       Rigoberto Coulootel Age. 25 of West 3rd St. Plainfield N.J. was arrested for a $500 outstanding warrant issued by the Bordentown court.  Off. Redling responded to Mountain View Rd. on a verbal dispute call.  While he was speaking with Coulootel, the warrant was discovered.  He was transported to H.Q. where he was processed and released.

3/9                        A resident of Mountain Ave. reported being a victim of a Theft. He stated that sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) entered his yard and removed two fishing poles. The poles were valued at approximately $300.

3/10                      Michael Massimo Age. 34 of Green Valley Dr. Green Brook N.J. was arrested for a $1,350 outstanding warrant issued by the Mountainside court.  Off. Mahoney stopped Massimo for a motor vehicle violation on Route 22 and discovered the warrant.  He was transported to H.Q. where he was processed and released.

3/10                      Jonathan Borges Age. 24 of West Henry Place. Iselin N.J. was arrested for Possession of Marijuana.  Off. Luciano stopped Borges for a motor vehicle violation on Raritan Rd. and while speaking with Borges he observed the Marijuana. He was transported to H.Q. where he was processed and released.
