Police Activity from June 9 to June 15.

Tuesday, June 9:

  • Kashira Slaughter, 23, of Fanwood, was arrested on an outstanding warrant. An officer had stopped Slaughter for a motor vehicle violation when he discovered the warrant. She was transported to police headquarters, where she was processed and released.
  • A resident of Forest Road reported being a victim of fraud. He stated that an unknown suspect(s) withdrew approximately $4,100 dollars from his bank account without his authorization. It is unknown how the suspect obtained his bank information.

Wednesday, June 10:

  • A resident of Debra Court reported being a victim of harassment. She stated that a co-worker has called and texted her numerous times to ask her out on a date, and when she tells him no, he becomes angry, yells and cries.

Thursday, June 11:

  • Kimberly Klutkowski, 24, of Linden, was arrested on an outstanding warrant. Klutkowski was stopped on a motor vehicle violation when the officer discovered her warrant. Klutkowski was transported to police headquarters, where she was processed and released.

Friday, June 12:

  • Ricardo Viegas, 27, of Newark, was arrested for driving while intoxicated. He had been stopped for a motor vehicle violation when the officer smelled the odor of alcohol. Viegas was transported to police headquarters, where he was processed and released.

Saturday, June 13:

  • Tiffani Hoover, 33, of Scotch Plains, was arrested on an outstanding warrant. She was stopped on a motor vehicle violation when the officer discovered her warrant. Hoover was transported to police headquarters, where she was processed and released.

Sunday, June 14:

  • Michael Tripet, 27, of Rahway, was arrested on an outstanding warrant. Tripet was stopped on a motor vehicle violation when the officer discovered the warrant. Tripet was transported to police headquarters, where he was processed and released.

Monday, June 15: 

  • A resident of Michael Lane reported being a victim of burglary. The owner stated that an unknown suspect entered his vehicle and removed two tools valued at approximately $1,000 dollars.
