Scotch Plains Police Reports: April 19 to 24

Police activity from the past week.

Scotch Plains police are investigating two incidents of fraud from last week.

The first occurred on Tuesday, April 20, to a resident of Winding Brook Way. The man told police that an unknown suspect cashed a check without his authorization, which was valued at approximately $600.

The second incident occurred the same day to a resident of Wood Road. The man there told police that an unknown suspect made a credit card purchase without his authorization. The purchase was for $164.

Below are the rest of the recent police reports.

Monday, April 19:

  • A resident of Country Club Lane reported being a victim of theft. The man told police that an unknown suspect removed a package that was left on his front step. The contents of the package were valued at approximately $350.

Tuesday, April 20:

  • A resident of John Street reported being a victim of harassment. The woman told police that the ex-girlfriend of her boyfriend has called her several times and yelled insults.
  • Takia Thomas, 23, of Fanwood, was arrested for an outstanding warrant after a motor vehicle stop. Thomas was transported to police headquarters, then processed and released.

Friday, April 23:

  • Tonya Keyes, 41, of Jersey City, was arrested for an outstanding warrant after a motor vehicle stop. Keyes was transported to police headquarters, then processed and released.

Saturday, April 24:

  • Nikely Villiere, 20, of Jersey City, was arrested for an outstanding warrant after a motor vehicle stop. Villiere was transported to police headquarters, then processed and released.
