Scotch Plains Police Reports: Dec. 14 to 17

Police activity from the past week.

The Union County Vo-Tech schools reported an incident of trespassing last Thursday.

The principal called Scotch Plains police to report that eight people were on school property without permission. When police arrived, the eight individuals were escorted off the property without further issues.

Aside from that incident, police arrested several people for outstanding warrants last week and had one report of fraud. Here's a look back.

Monday, Dec. 14:

  • Willie Martin, 47, of Newark, was arrested for an outstanding warrant after a motor vehicle stop. He was transported to police headquarters, where he was processed and released.
  • Edwin Rivera, 33, of North Plainfield, was arrested for an outstanding warrant after a motor vehicle stop. He was transported to police headquarters, where he was processed and released.

Tuesday, Dec. 15:

  • A resident of William Street reported being a victim of fraud. The man stated that an unknown suspect charged several hundred dollars to his PlayStation account, which is linked to his checking account.
  • Jamar Alexander, 28, of Newark, was arrested for an outstanding warrant after a motor vehicle stop. He was transported to police headquarters, where he was processed and released.
  • Matthew Herek, 36, of Scotch Plains, was arrested for an outstanding warrant after a motor vehicle stop. He was transported to police headquarters, where he was processed and released.
  • Dana Dangelo, 28, of Scotch Plains, was arrested for an outstanding warrant after a motor vehicle stop. She was transported to police headquarters, where she was processed and released.

Wednesday, Dec. 16:

  • Jeffrey Peterson, 21, of Plainfield, was arrested for an outstanding warrant after a motor vehicle stop. He was transported to police headquarters, where he was processed and released.
