Arrest Made in Tire Slashings Outside Fanwood Stores

Several victims came out to find they had flat tires.

Shoppers came out of the Fanwood A&P and Fanwood Liquor to find their tires had been slashed last night.

“It appears that between 6:15 and 6:45, someone came through the parking lot of Fanwood Liquor and slashed tires on a car there and then came on to the A & P parking lot and slashed tires on four more cars,” one of the victims told the Alternative Press.  “They actually slashed three of my tires.  With only one spare, I had to call AAA to come and tow my car.”

“We have a person of interest in custody,” Fanwood Police Chief Richard Trigo told the Alternative Press. “Once we have completed our investigation we will be releasing more details.”
