Water Main Break on Route 22 in Watchung Causing Major Delays
The water main break occurred earlier this afternoon, causing delays from both directions.
A water main break that occured earlier this afternoon on Route 22 in Watchung at Terrill Road is causing major traffic delays, officials said.
There is no access to Route 22 West from Terrill Road, according to a message sent out by the Scotch Plains Police Department through the UC First Alert system. The message stated to avoid the area, if possible.
NJ.com is reporting that Lt. Joe Cina of the Watchung Police Department said that traffic is being diverted through the Sears parking lot and nearby jughandle.
